My name is Chris Larson, I have extensive and diverse experience in all aspects of the business. Having done the work, managed the work, trained the workforce, and managed safety; I know the work, and I know the workforce.
While employed by the nation's largest outside line contractors I have provided expert depositions, served as a subject-matter expert for numerous counsel across the United States, managed workers' compensation claims, property damage claims, OSHA citation and abatement mitigation, and performed or oversaw multiple incident investigations and reports.
A passion for education and training brought me to train new apprentices while still an apprentice myself. I have trained thousands of apprentice linemen, crane operators, Journeyman Linemen, and field leaders. This passion has become a life-long commitment that continues today. The path of training and education developed into positions as Director of the California-Nevada JATC (IBEW/NECA union apprentice program), and Director of the Lineworker Certification Program for Northwest Lineman College. This experience allows me to explain complex subjects like electrical theory, rigging, safe work methods, and weights and forces in an easy-to-understand way; a real benefit when educating the trier of facts, the court, and the jury.
The last 13 years of my career were as Director of Safety and Training for one of the nation's largest electric utility outside line construction companies. During this time, I led a team of safety and training professionals to achieve the best safety and training record in the company's history since its beginning in 1954.
